Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Old Town to Charles Bridge
Morning: Drop bags and walk from the Powder Tower along Celetná Street to Old Town Square.
Afternoon: Continue through Karlova to Charles Bridge, then cross towards Malá Strana without trying to tour the Castle today.
Evening: Return for dinner around Old Town or the quieter streets south of the square.

- Old Town Square — See the Astronomical Clock and surrounding façades.
- Charles Bridge — Walk across rather than treating it as a drive-by stop.
Day 2: Castle and Malá Strana
Morning: Take a tram uphill and enter the Prague Castle complex early. Choose interiors that interest you rather than every ticketed building.
Afternoon: Walk downhill past St Vitus Cathedral and through Malá Strana, then pause in Kampa beside the river.
Evening: Eat on the west bank or cross back after the daytime crowds thin.

Day 3: Riverside finale and home

Evening: Return to Newcastle.
