A short break. A proper escape.

Two or three days away should feel like a trip, not a race. Build a weekend itinerary around the time you actually have, the things you enjoy and one sensible place to stay.

Start with the details that matter

A weekend planner works best when it knows more than the destination. Friday evening and two full sightseeing days are very different trips. Put arrival and departure times in your brief so the first and last days stay realistic.

Try a brief like this

Lisbon for a three-day weekend. We arrive Friday at 6pm and leave Sunday at 5pm. We love neighbourhood cafés, viewpoints and local food. No car, moderate budget, and no early starts.

Give the weekend a centre of gravity

Choose the one thing you would regret missing: a gallery, a neighbourhood, a food market or a walk. Build one main outing around it each day. Nearby cafés and smaller stops can fill the gaps without turning every hour into an appointment.

Pick a base before packing the days

Ask for a place to stay near the part of the city you will use most, or near a useful transport connection. A cheaper room far from everything may cost you the part of the weekend you actually came for. Tell the planner if stairs, steep hills or long walks are a problem.

Leave something for another visit

A good short break has room for an interesting street or a second coffee. Use “Change this trip” to remove a stop, keep an afternoon free or make a rainy-day version. You can ask for fewer museums, more food, or an evening close to your hotel.

Can I plan a weekend without choosing a destination?

Yes. Describe where you are travelling from, how long you can spend getting there and what you want from the break. Add your departure city in Preferences. Flight routes and prices still need checking before you book.

What your itinerary includes

A day-by-day plan, a route map, suggested places to stay and indicative costs in your selected currency. Stop photographs appear when a verified match is available. You can ask for changes after the plan is generated.
