Start with the details that matter
“Family friendly” is only a starting point. A toddler, a teenager and a grandparent may need very different days. Include everyone’s ages, what they enjoy and the practical things that make a day work, such as a pushchair, a midday break or avoiding long walks.
Try a brief like this
Five days in Singapore for two adults and children aged 5 and 10. Relaxed mornings, public transport, a midday rest near the hotel, parks and animals, and one main paid attraction a day. Include vegetarian food options and a wet-weather alternative.Use this example and make it mine →
Opens the planner with these details. Edit them before creating your itinerary.
Build the day around the least flexible need
If one child needs a rest after lunch, put it in the brief before adding the sights. Ask for an activity near your base in the morning and another nearby option later. One great outing often works better than a long checklist with no room to pause.
Make food and transport part of the plan
Add dietary needs, preferred meal times and whether you want public transport, taxis or a car. Ask for accommodation areas that suit those choices. Tell the planner if you need step-free routes, but verify access with the venue or transport provider rather than relying on a general description.
Keep alternatives, not obligations
Ask for an indoor option, a free outdoor stop and a shorter version of the busiest day. Once your itinerary appears, use “Change this trip” to reduce walking, swap an attraction or make more time for a particular interest. You do not need to start the whole plan again.
A better brief makes a better plan
| Think about | Include this | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Who is travelling | Two adults and children aged five and ten | Only saying “family” |
| Daily rhythm | Slow mornings and a rest after lunch | Full sightseeing days with no breaks |
| Must-have details | Vegetarian meals, parks and easy transport | A list of attractions without practical context |
Are children’s tickets and hotel family rooms priced live?
No. Costs are estimates and family occupancy can make a big difference. Include the number and ages of children, then confirm room suitability, child pricing, opening hours and availability with the provider before booking.
What your itinerary includes
A day-by-day plan, a route map, suggested places to stay and indicative costs in your selected currency. Stop photographs appear when a verified match is available. You can ask for changes after the plan is generated.
